I grew up all over the world – Tehran, London, Brussels, Los Angeles, Paris… That’s why I’m fluent in English, French and Farsi, and conversational in German, Italian and Spanish. This knowledge supports my biggest passion which is travel; I am a certified Nomad that enjoys wandering around the globe to new places, meeting new people, learning new cultures and customs, discovering new foods and ways of life. My idea of a fun vacation is going somewhere tourists don't like to go, like a village high in the Andes or a remote lake in Canada. I am very comfortable being a stranger in a strange land.

My experience in helping turnaround the purchasing, operations and risk management activities of Fortune 1000 companies in a variety of industries dates back two decades to when I was working internationally in EMEA and the US. Prior to BrainNet, I was most recently a special advisor to the Royal Bank of Scotland, working on the operational turnaround of the Group. As an advisor to the Operations Board I focused on Outsourcing/BPO, Vendor Management, Cost Reduction and Lean initiatives. I also spent 9 years at Ariba, formerly FreeMarkets.  As the GM of FreeMarkets' UK and  the Northern Region, I was part of the leadership team that built FreeMarkets from a small start-up to IPO in 1999, and sold the company to Ariba for $500m in 2004. I led Ariba's Managed Services (BPO) business worldwide. At this time Ariba was named one of the top 3 procurement outsourcing companies in 2007 and 2008. In my “BrainNet-free time” I serve on the Board of several non-profit organizations, including Robert Morris University.
